One Touch Viewing with Logitech Harmony from Best Buy
I love all the advances that technology brings into our lives today. I had to opportunity to review the Lo…

Recently I received a gift package from Perrigo Nutritionals with lots of goodies for the baby. It contained some formula, baby food & snacks and a great book from author Crystal Paine. When I was contacted about the opportunity to share with my readers the benefits of buying store brand products I was excited about the opportunity. As a mother of four I have had my fair share of “all things baby”. I have tried so many different items ranging from formula, diapers, wipes, baby food, snacks and so much more. Like anything else there are the big brands the names we all know and we think it’s the best and we also have store brands and that’s where Perrigo Nutritionals come into play. They are one of the U.S. leading manufacturer’s in store brand products. I’m very familiar with store brand products. When my daughter was a toddler she loved eating cheese puffs and Walmart had a store brand that saved us at least a dollar compared to the brand name product. She loved them the store brand and since then I’ve always looked for alternatives to brand name when shopping for items.
About Perrigo Nutritionals
I’ve already used all the formula I received to try with my baby. He’s just starting out on solids so when he’s older he already has lots of options to enjoy and explore. Some of the store brands I was sent I am very familiar with because I’ve used them with my three older children. Some were from stores not in my area but they all look just like they’ll be good. Buying store brands is a great way to save some money and use it for other things or saved. On the topic of saving I also received a wonderful book from blogger and author Crystal Paine called “Say Goodbye to Survival Mode: 9 Simple Strategies to Stress Less, Sleep More, and Restore Your Passion for Life”. It’s filled with tips and advice on how to save, stress less and so much more. It’s a great resource for any parent. Here’s Crystal’s five top tips for saving money:
Crystal Paine’s 5 Money Saving Tips for Families
Create a Budget
A budget gives you parameters and purpose, it gives you boundaries, and it gives you freedom to live creatively within those boundaries.
Shop With Cash
When you shop with a credit card (or even a debit card, for that matter!) you can have your budget in your head and you can do the best to stick with it when you check out, but it’s so much easier to go just a little bit over here and there when you’re swiping!
Plan a Menu
When you have a plan in place for what you’re supposed to be eating each meal and you’ve already purchased the ingredients for those recipes, it’s a lot harder to justify chucking the plan for takeout.
Coupons are a great way to save a lot of money on your grocery bill, but they can be hard to keep up with. Clipping, sorting, and organizing coupons takes time — so enter a coupon database! You’ll have access to printable and other coupons currently available and it’s one of the most effective and efficient ways to save money on groceries.
Buy Store Brands
One way to save a great deal of money on your grocery budget is to learn to like and use a variety of brands. The sooner you can get over being a brand-snob, the more your pocketbook will thank you. For example, while I breastfed my children, moms who choose to formula feed can save up to 50 percent by switching to store brand formula, which meets the same FDA quality standards as expensive name brands. There are also coupons available at a website – StoreBrandFormula.com (www.storebrandformula.com). This one simple change can save moms about $600 a year.

On Friday, April 18th Disneynature Bears is set to open in theaters nationwide. That’s during spring break week for us so it’s a great time to take the kids to learn about the life of Bears. In this epic story done on a breathtaking scale, this new True Life Adventures showcases a year in the life of a bear family as two impressionable young cubs are taught life’s most important lessons. The majestic Alaskan backdrop their journey begins as winter comes to an end and the bears emerge from hibernation to face the bitter cold. While the world outside is exciting it’s still risky and as the cubs’ playfully descent down the mountain there’s a looming threat of avalanches. With each season change the brown bears must work hard to find food, while trying to stay safe from rival male bears and predators, including a persistent wolf. Bears captures the fast-moving action and suspense of life in one of the planet’s last great wildernesses—Alaska!
The film is directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Earth,” “African Cats” and “Chimpanzee”) and Keith Scholey (“African Cats”), and narrated by John C. Reilly, “Bears” arrives in theaters in time to celebrate Earth Day.
